In the 1300’s, the Black Plague decimated Europe killing more than half of the population. Even today, mention of the plague sends chills up our spine. Well, bundle up tight. Fleas carrying Black Plague have been found in at least two different Arizona counties and officials are warning residents about hiking in areas where fleas, or dead animals, may be present. The infected fleas were first found last week on local prairie dogs in Coconino County. This week, fleas carrying the plague were found in Navajo county. County officials warned residents: “Navajo County Health Department is urging the public to take precautions to reduce their risk of exposure to this serious disease, which can be present in fleas, rodents, rabbits and predators that feed upon these animals.
The photo, which first appeared on social networks, appears to be real and untouched and depicts a spooky, dark-winged demon-like creature standing ominously in a vacant lot near a road. The original poster uploaded the photo with this question: “What the hell do you see in this picture???” The humanoid creature in the picture appears to be about 20-feet tall with long legs and outstretched wings. It is believed the photo was shot in Tucson, Arizona on New Year’s Day (2017). I’m not calling hoax on this one but misidentification is not out of the question. It does indeed look like the legendary Mothman though…
During the Golden Age of UFO sightings, the time between 1940 and 1970, thousands of UFO reports were submitted to officials, many of which were held for decades before being released to the public. Included in these reports are many notable photographs purported to depict UFO's, or flying saucers as they were known at the time. Below is a collection of the most popular historic UFO photographs from as early as 1870. UFO over Bulawayo, Southern Rhodesia. December 29, 1953 This is widely believed to be a photo of the infamous UFO over Westall Scondary College in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, witnessed by more than 200 students and teachers as it descended into an open, grassy field. The only official explanation to date is "experimental craft". 1966 UFO in
Something unusual, and highly secretive, is going on in the Mojave Desert this month that has the capacity to wipe out aircraft GPS systems in an area covering nearly a dozen states. This week the FAA warned pilots that military tests were occurring this month at the Naval Air Weapons Center that could cause interference with GPS systems. They didn’t go into details of course, but whatever is being tested is huge. They noted that the tests, which are centered in Nevada’s 1.1-million-acre China Lake installation, could affect GPS systems in ten different states including Oregon, Idaho, California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, and Sonora (Mexico). The warning was issued on June 4, only three days before the first test was conducted. Specifically mentioned
Forrest Fenn hidden treasure – millionaire hides chest of gold and jewels and encourages public to head outdoors to find it
In 2009 (or 2010), a New Mexico millionaire (and modern-day Indiana Jones) gave the world a fascinating puzzle when he hid a treasure estimated to be worth between $1-5 million dollars and provided a cryptic poem full of clues hinting at its location. Tens of thousands have trekked through Colorado, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming in search of Forrest Fenn’s hidden treasure. To date, the location of the treasure remains a mystery, despite a plethora of clues pointing to its location. About Forrest Fenn Forrest Fenn, millionaire writer, art dealer, and artifact collector, says he hid his treasure to get people off of their couches and into the wilderness. To say Forrest Fenn himself is a modern-day Indiana Jones would be an understatement. Fenn flew more than 300 missions in Vietnam and
Jade Helm 15 military operation – the scary truth behind America’s largest-ever military exercise on civilian soil
The rumors began on March 13, 2015 when U.S. citizens first learned about the shadowy military operation known as Jade Helm (or Jade Helm 15). The size and scope of Jade Helm (the operation will be conducted over seven different states throughout the Southwest) sets the exercise apart from any other military exercise in history - never before has a drill of this scope and magnitude taken place on US sovereign soil. The official Special Operations Command stance is that the civilian operation locations were chosen because the terrain is “similar to conditions special operations forces operate in overseas”. Detractors however, find federal military personnel operating covertly in American cities throughout the southwest USA alarming and cite plenty of reasons to suspect there is more
Discovery of the Roswell Slides In 1989, an Arizona woman was cleaning the home of a deceased couple, readying the home for an upcoming estate sale, when she made a discovery that could have ground-breaking implications for humanity. While carrying items to the garbage can, she noticed a box (or chest) full of Kodachrome slides which she figured could be somewhat interesting. She took the box of photo slides to her home and placed them in her garage. And there the box sat – for ten more years. Around 1999, the woman dug through the pictures in the forgotten box and to her surprise, found photos from all over the world, many of which included famous celebrities such as Bing Crosby, Clark Gable, and President Dwight Eisenhower.
Multiple UFO reports from Arizona – several independent witnesses report two sets of bright lights hovering in the sky
Several UFO reports arrived from Arizona on Wednesday (1/16/13) while rumors that there is a video of the event is beginning to circulate (we found one video that claimed to be of the event but the objects did not fit the description witness have been providing). One witness reported seeing four huge, glowing orange-yellow lights in the Phoenix sky. The sighting began with the witness was driving home and noticed four bright lights in the sky. He pulled over and began taking pictures with his cell phone when another set of three lights suddenly appeared. The lights appeared to be connected together as the distance between them never varied. After a few minutes the lights blinked out. The second report came from Buckeye, Arizona. This witness
At 11: 18 PM on August 15, 1999, the residents of the southwestern United States experienced an intense, unimaginable bright flash of light which lit the area brighter than daylight for 2-3 seconds. At the same time, people from all across the western U. S. began calling the UFO hotlines reporting their sightings of an unidentified object travelling overhead. Most reported a hovering ball of light. Calls came in from New Mexico, Nevada, Arizona, Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, Montana, Texas and Mexico. 21 minutes later, a second (less bright) flash occurred. According to the MUFON journal from that month: “What makes this first flash so interesting, and a fact which seems to rule out any type of meteoric event, is that a second, and similar, flash occurred, approximately
No abduction case in history has garnered as much publicity, fascination, and controversy than the Travis Walton abduction in 1975. And it's no wonder. Do you believe the unshaken testimony of 7 witnesses, a testimony that has not deviated even years after the witnesses parted and gone their separate ways? Does the polygraph evidence, 13 tests in all, prove the witnesses are offering us the truth and nothing but the truth? Or do you believe the nay Sayers who claim the event was a well-planned hoax, nothing more than a 'story' told to allow the crew to escape an inevitable failure of their government contracted project? It's quite possible that in this case, only 'time will tell'. But for now, we can present the full
