A TV crew filming an interview with a Peruvian politician were startled to see a strange, purple, disc-shaped UFO hovering in the distance over the city of Lima. Once camera operators pointed out the object, Congressman Renzo Reggiardo stopped the interview and camera crew turned their cameras towards the unusual object. Soon, dozens of excited witnesses also spotted the UFO and began filming the event with their personal smartphones.

The sighting occurred on February 10, 2015, at 10:30 AM in Lima, Peru during the taping of the program Alto al crimen (High Crime). The object was described by witnesses as a large, purple, disc-shaped spinning object that hovered in the sky for two hours before flying off into the distance.

UFO sightings in Lima are not unusual with some believing the area is some sort of alien/human contact location.  Several videos have caught the Peruvian UFOs on film and an unusual 2013 video purported to be a video of the recovery of a UFO probe that lost power and crashed to earth (see still photo below).  According to Truth Frequency Radio:

“It is believed that aliens have chosen to make contact with the residents of Lima, Peru and UFOs are constantly landing in Lima and even making contact with residents. Locals are apparently in a state of awe regarding these alien encounters, however a total media freeze regarding the events has been ordered by world governments to ensure humans outside of Lima remain unaware of this possible first open contact with an extraterrestrial race.”

In the original audio track of the purple UFO video, onlookers can be heard shouting their suggestions and estimations for the UFO and concluded it could not be a plane due to the way it was “floating”.  The object appears much too large to be a drone and the lack of any apparent movement rules out gliders, airplanes, and probably balloons. Since the UFO was captured by multiple videographers, dust or dirt on the camera lens can be eliminated as an explanation too and given the number of witnesses, it’s unlikely to be a hoax.
