SETI@Home is a scientific experiment run by the University of California, that uses Internet connected computers like yours, to search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI).  You can participate by running a free program that automatically downloads and analyzes radio telescope data to search for signals from ET.  The program runs as a 3D screen saver and only processes data when you are not using your computer.  The screen saver is very nice and displays the stats and a dynamically changing 3D chart of the radio data that is currently being analyzed.  Once you've downloaded and installed the program, be sure and sign up for the Altered Dimensions SETI team - help us search for extraterrestrial intelligence!
